 FUNDRAISING

Once again we are very grateful for all the support received throughout the year from grant giving trusts and charities, individual donors and participants and supporters of our fundraising events.

In February 2018 we were all shocked by the sad loss of Professor James Richardson.   The outstanding Professor of Orthopaedics, “Prof” was a caring family man, friend and colleague.  He had time for everyone and was supportive and encouraging to all who met him.

He had been a great supporter of our fundraising efforts and for the past two years had thoroughly enjoyed helping our team of sponsored walkers up and down Mount Snowdon on the “Snowpaedic Challenge”.  In June 2018 we will walk in his memory.

Our sincere thanks goes out to all those who have supported us throughout the year.  It is through your generosity and kindness that the Orthopaedic Institute is able to continue to support the vital Research and Training here at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital.

Looking forward to 2019, we plan to have a Research Open Day in April providing an opportunity to showcase how our charitable funds are used to research new and improved methods of treatment and provide a better understanding of orthopaedic diseases and conditions.  Everyone is welcome!

We hope to hold the Snowpaedic Challenge again in June  and we will also be looking for cycling enthusiasts to take part in the Prudential London Ride 100 which takes place in July 2019 (date to be confirmed).

If you would like to take part or to organise your own fundraising event in aid of the Orthopaedic Institute, please contact Debra Alexander who would be happy to help.
